| As I was saying; at the last stop of the tour, the Temple to Kannon, Goddess of Mercy, in Asakusa, pronounced Ah-Sock-Suh, I was a miserably hot afternoon, but my wife saw some of her friends eating a popsicle sort of thing, so we had to have one also. They had Melon, Red Bean, Cream, and some other thing. She got a melon one, then asked about this other wierd looking thing. The lady told her is was red bean, so she had to have that, so I got the melon one, which was quite good. While we were standing there talking with her friends, a little Japanese girl, about 4 years old, came up to me and asked where I was from. It was kind of a surprise to hear English from her, So I squatted down and started talking with her a little bit. She was a little hesitant to start with, but with the urging of her mother, she did quite well. She asked me if I would like to have a picture taken with her. Of course, I couldn't refuse. After that picture, I took a picture of her, her older sister, and her mother. Then she said they would mail me a copy of the picture her father had taken, so I wrote my Cincinnati address in her mother's notebook for her. It was a very enjoyable experience after a rather long day in the heat. I will send a copy of the picture to Dave with the others I send. We spent a quiet day the next day with Yoshiko, after we left the hotel. We went to an aquarium in the shopping complex there next to the hotel, then went to a Toyota Showroom with all sorts of concept cars and new electric models and hybrid electric/gas models, plus luxury models they make for the Japanese market that never get sent overseas. I took a few pictures of the more interesting ones. I'll probably burn them on a cd and send them to Dave and let him pick some for the website. Leaving Japan was much quicker than gettin
