I offer big apology to David for referring to him as our top techie. He is a professionally trained engineer and I know that but mispoke. He still is the best we know and he really is the driving force behind our efforts to keep in touch with each other. Thanks David.

I gave David the final info for the Sept 22 reunion and in just hours he had it posted to the site. Good job! Thanks David, you are most important techie in our group. I encourage all classmates to sign up for the event soon. Get your room if you need one and send me the check to reserve a place. Send a message to all your CUHS friends or sibs and make this a good time for all. The room can seat 120 people. Last Fall the class of 53? had about 65. With our expanded years we could reach capacity. Our class will have informal, hang time on Friday and dinner on our own, then more hang time.

Had the honor to talk to Ann Parraz Silva yesterday about her birthday tomorrow.
I’m not sure, but I think she said she had three daughters. Celebrating birthday and mothers day over the same weekend. During our discussion about the reunion coming up, Wayne was mentioned. Turns out she has a daughter in Lincoln. Hope to see her at the reunion. HAPPY BIRTHDAY ON THE BIG ONE ANN !!! |

Tried to call John Wesley Jones yesterday to wish him a Happy Birthday. Didn’t get an answer.
I think we are all afraid to answer a phone call from an area code that you don’t recognize. So, I’ll use the forum to say Happy Birthday. HAPPY BIRTHDAY JOHN WESLEY JONES |

Classsmates I just spoke with Mr. Appodaca at Holiday Inn and he assured me we had a block of 20 rooms for Friday and Sat. The number to call is 559-651-5000. I had David put my email on the info site for classmates to contact me. The ATT address I was using was getting wiped out by Yahoo and I had to sign up each time I logged on. So my google address will be used to contact me.

Wayne as bad as the Chono image is I should be paid for messing with it. But, don’t fear Strech is mailing the originals to me for reconstruction.
Darrel Tiffin lives in Madera and has had no contact with the class since 1956. How many of you drive pass Madera every year? I talked to him a short while back. We talked about the coming reunion and the fact he has atteded numerous meeting at the Holiday Inn at Visalia airport. He was really surprised his old friend Henry C lived so close to him in Clovis. All Y’all Don’t Get Disconnected. Stay In Touch HAPPY BIRTHDAY DARREL |

Wow! My birthday and the Super Moon on the same day. Thanks to the supreme power for makin this happen. I remember the big super moon rising over the southern Sierras on a warm summer night in ol Corcoran. Might have been out on the levee or on the softball field but the moon lit up the entire sky. News coming soon on details for the Sept 22 reunion. You can start making your hotel reservations anytime. Just tell the Holiday Inn Visalia you are with Corcoran of the 50's. I will give David info for the webb site.

Yes Jacque,
Rosemary bought 3 at a garage sale. Two had dates from the 50’s on them and they all had a price of $.90 each. She didn’t want the one without the date and the seller offered it to her at half price. We discovered later the one without the date was the first one made. The other two were sold for about $50 each. She knew the julep glasses were collectable before then. Rosemary purchased pretty thing and I purchased neat things. I could be looking at a toy train and she would tell me it was pretty. I’d put it back and tell her I didn’t buy pretty trains. I miss her. |

David is that the glass you & Rosemary found at a garage sale?
